Not that I disagree in general, but I have to ask those in the know - what’s the situation with police violence in the so-called Nordics. They’ve been an icon for the supposed “capitalism with a human face” and the source of jerk-off reaction from socdems worldwide. Now, I understand they are rolling back the social nets they’ve had previously. But how goes the enforcement of capitalist rule in there?

I know it’s not your point, but learning about the Nordics way of doing things was an entry point for me to actually learn about alternatives to capitalism. All I’m saying is it’s likely a great entry point of discussion with well meaning liberals, especially where they are rolling back safety nets.

Too bad it has not had the same effect on the youth growing up in the Nordics. I feel old for hating on them, but statistically the kids fucking suck.

Yeah :( Less economical differences between classes means less class antagonism and class identity among the proletariat. In turn, this leads to bigger economical differences and the blissful break from the overtly ever persisting exploitation is over.

All good things come to an end unless you abolish the billionaires.

The cops in Nordics are the same as elsewhere, just trained to minimize the physical violence to minimum required to achieve the same goal.

They really are not. For instance in Norway they generally do not wear firearms. High social mobility, historically at least, has meant less organized crime, even if that is all but being destroyed as we speak.

I would rather say that soon they will be the same as elsewhere, due to the historical social democratic policies being reverted by neolibs.
