The sidebar suggests anything comics or comic related.
So by that interpretation you’ve got cartoon strips, comic books, and graphic novels. I’d even argue you could include series collecting, art resources, and general discussion about the medium.
The content is currently mostly comic strips as you noticed. I think their nature is just more shareable. Plus, the average internet user gets more exposure to comic strips in their various feeds and memes, so it makes sense that they’d be shared more frequently.
I’m not a mod or anything, but I say be the change you want to see. If you post it, they will come.
