  • Women are you doing this for me to be a good day to be able to get to the house and get the rest of the day off the day of the day and I will be there in a few minutes to get it done before I leave the house.

My predictive text doesn’t know what to do with the words “Women are”. Maybe because I don’t like to make declarations about groups of people? Especially when it’s half of the population…

Or maybe it’s just that gboard sucks at predictive text.

Not everyone wants to own a home. There are lots of people perfectly happy renting as long as they aren’t being dicked over on the lease. For example, I don’t want a yard and property I need to manage. I don’t particularly want to mow a lawn or tend a garden and I certainly don’t want to deal with an HOA that might force me to do so. All of that can be avoided by living in an apartment. I am totally in agreement that owning for profit property is pretty shitty, but I don’t think it makes you equal to the likes of Blackstone and Vanguard

  • That’s all fine. But also, Trump could and should just release the record of the medical visit. That would quiet a lot of this down. The outrage comes from the “oh my god I was shot with a bullet” and the “look how strong I am” vibe trump is giving off while also not releasing any real evidence aside from the footage of the day.

But I would suspect all of that to be intentional. A void of information creates a vacuum that fills with misinformation and speculation and that causes discourse which is all trump wants.

  • The biggest hurdle for voters is registration in Texas. It is the most effective form of voter suppression followed by the “your vote doesn’t matter” propaganda. You cannot register to vote online. You register to vote through a few obscure avenues. The way I linked above is a mail in form. You mail your registration and they mail you back a confirmation and vote location based on your address. God forbid you move or misspelled something on your registration form or get your registration by snail mail sent out too late. If it’s time to vote and you end up realizing you’re one of the many people not ACTUALLY registered, well now you really do not have enough time to get registered for this voting cycle because the USPS can take 5 business days to deliver, the state of Texas can take 5 business days from receipt to process your registration and then 5 more business days for USPS to deliver your information. 3 weeks… If it’s time to vote and you aren’t registered, you are not voting.

It becomes significantly easier to renew your registration once you are registered but you have to register first.

  • Because democratic Texans have been convinced that their vote doesn’t matter. However that couldn’t be further from the truth. Ted Cruz would have lost his last election if something like 6% of registered Dems who did not vote, had voted. Also Greg Abbott would have lost if around a quarter of those registered, non-voting Dems had voted. The propaganda in TX is deeply ingrained in its residents. The state would have voted blue in the last presidential election. Trump won by 8% while over 20 million registered voters did not vote.

IF YOU LIVE IN TEXAS AND YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS LIVING, VOTE.

here is a link to verify that you are registered (many residents believe they are registered but are in fact not)

    https://www.texas.gov/living-in-texas/texas-voter-registration/

If you are not registered, register here:

    https://vrapp.sos.state.tx.us/index.asp

Print out your registration and mail that fucker in today so you’ll be ready for early voting in October

YES TEXAS HAS EARLY VOTING AND TIME OFF LAWS. THAT MEANS WORK CANNOT PREVENT YOU FROM TAKING TIME OFF TO GET TO THE VOTING BOOTHS.

  • Impeachment is not the same as being removed from office. It is the first step to the process however. Impeachment is the bringing of charges against an official in office. Once charges are brought, a trial must be held on the Senate with the Chief Supreme Court Justice presiding. If the trial ends in a conviction, the result is removal from office. However, the Chief Justice for nearly the past 20 years is a staunchly conservative man appointed by the 2nd bush administration in 2005.

Impeachment was never really a threat to Trump while in office. Just a way for Congress to tell the president that they know the bad shit he’s doing and they don’t like it. As long as the supreme court remains absolutely stacked with conservative appointees, there will never be a removal of office of a favored Republican president.
