Is it any less reliable than other state-affiliated news agency? Maybe. Depends on your perspective.

You can file complaints with NLRB or civil suits about lots of things, but the details matter if you want to go anywhere with them. For the most part, unionizing and union related activities are protected actions, within reason as defined by law. If your action is union related, and they fire you, and you have some reason of evidence that it happened in that way, then you might want to look into following up on it.
As always, expect your bosses and HR to lie about what happened. It’s really good if you have video evidence, or at least multiple witnesses, and certainly take notes right after having any such incident.
Why wear a thong for your workout? … Err, what kind of training are you up to, anyway? :-o
Remember, this is actually a question of what to do about a coup d’etat. Undercutting basic democracy is not a question of law, but a question of who will use force how much force to address it.
Normal people don’t care about “the economy”. To hell with the yachts. We care about working conditions and pay/benefits vs. cost of living.
The doctor.
In recent years I’ve found NextCloud to reasonable. A little delicate initially, but once you have it working, the upgrades are very easy.
How much longer will each of us keep using YT? It feels like the end is coming. Of course it all depends on each person’s values and choices. And how fast YT tries to ratchet us down.
If that was is trying to minimize deaths, we’re totally incompetent. But I don’t think we’re that incompetent…
A wolverine. A kamoshika.
Capitalists hate capitalism. Competition is so irritating, because someone might undercut you. (And other people would cheat to win, just like you would, so you can’t ever relax.)
If I were him, I’d make quiet preparations. Probably he has, because he’s had four years to do so. We know military leaders have discussed the issue, right? Which means POTUS has, too. But what actions taken, that we don’t know.
Or maybe not. Define the term first, please.
That’s true, and we should also note for further discussion that there are related major issues.
The traditional publishing process through the major journals is entirely broken, because the journals are making a ton of money, and often the research is paid for by taxpayers, and often the researchers and reviewers don’t make much at all.
Also, it depends on the country, but many universities are hiring fewer tenured faculty members. When people are on one year contracts, or on several year contracts, they have strong incentive to get things published before they change employer. If they have job security, they’re much more likely to do proper research before sending things off.
Nobody wants to destroy their own reputation, but they are more likely to take a risk if it’s a make or break point in their career.
As others mentioned, it’s been blocked. The judge up in Missouri continued the block.
The reasoning is the same as before, and none of it makes sense. It’s so bizarre that the courts are allowed to prioritize lenders over ordinary citizens. It’s not like the lenders are going to go bankrupt, so why should the injunction go in their favor? Meh. We know why. Politics.
Thank you a lot for sharing this, because I didn’t know the history at all and this topic comes up south of the border as well. It’s good to have specific things to point to, success stories that we might be able to copy, if we could somehow get enough political willpower. Maybe one of these decades, up there or down here.
I would rather have a person who I disagree with be honest about their views and goals, because at least then maybe we could talk about things openly, even if we couldn’t come to an agreement.
It’s so annoying dealing with chronic liars, because they keep bringing in falsehoods whenever it’s convenient, whenever they think they can get an edge.
If she actually serves 9 years, that’s a massive sentence. If she lives to 77 and gets out, what in the heck will she do with the rest of her life? Getting out of prison after any long sentence is difficult, but I can’t even imagine how one would try to rebuild their life at that age after that many years behind bars.
Holy fuck dude.
