  • I’d recommend you actually read the very article and explicitly try and look for a genuine quote where an individual explicitly is quoted as saying Biden should drop out.

Note how everytime it’s a generalized paraphrase at not an actual quote.

And interestingly enough all the actual quotes are more along the lines of “He should be doing x”, or etc.

And even more so many articles capstone at the end with “when asked they re-affirmed support for biden”

The articles wiggle word their way just enough to subtly imply someone is saying he should drop, yet they can’t manage to find a single actual concrete quote of anyone actually saying it, which shouldn’t be that hard to do.

That should be a red flag for you that the article is being purposefully vague on purpose.

Stop falling for the bullshit. Actually read what the article says and look at the quotes, note the dissonance between the quotes and the paraphrasing…

  • This is fundamentally the standard “people are saying…” classic propoganda engine that trump literally used for over 4 years straight.

Step 1: Trump and/or his team talks about <thing> without any basis, just remarking on it Step 2: News cycles pick it up and remark about Trump remarking on it Step 3: Trump now re-iterates the talking point but this time saying its in the news Step 4: The news once again re-iterates it

At this point its so obfuscated in layers its hard to pick up the original source being “Trump just bullshitting about nothing” and then it becomes news

It’s such a tired and classic play its insane that people somehow eight years later are still falling for it.

Biden did a fucking press conference very clearly stating he is running, I don’t know how the fuck he can be more explicit that this isnt up for discussion, it’s happening, stop fucking spreading some form of implication it isnt. He so very clearly is who the democrats are pushing forward, everything else is propaganda bullshit to make people second guess.

  • That doesnt take care of it, nor can voters take care of it.

Even if Biden gets re-elected, this ruling stays in play perpetually until someone undoes it, which requires the supreme court justices to walk it back after a period of time.

The only option is to use the newly granted powers themself to undo the granted powers.

    It’s, imo, the only play.

Also this has nothing to do with being a “petulant child”, it proves the point of how the granted powers are over-reaching.

If they werent over-reaching, then he wouldnt be able to use them to do this. It becomes a forced move on the justices behalf.

    They either:

    a. Accept the powers are to overpowered and in turn are forced to, through the command itself, have to roll it back or b. Rule that Biden cant do that, which forces cementing an upper limit on what the powers can do (it establishes a baseline that you cant just use the powers to force supreme justice acts and/or to order people to die)

Either way, it either neuters the powers to some extent or completely nullifies them.

  • IMO the only valid move for Biden right now asap, is to use his new immunity powers to invalidate his immunity powers, as a display of self checkmate.

Declare the full supreme court under threat of death has to go back and redo the decision, and all of them must vote to reverse it and remove the presidential immunity, or be hung.

This of course means “if you dont remove my ability to kill you, you will die”.

Its the ultimate display of being handed ultimate power, and rejecting it through the power itself.

I cant think of any other move that makes sense really. It would be a headache in court but thats what the supreme justices get for making such a stupid ass decision.

  • It does mean something.

The skibidi toilet “creatures” are considered the antagonists, and the word is associated with their traits.

    • creepy
    • gross
    • scary
    • weird

Its an insult to and pretty much interchangeably with “creepy” with a splash of “cringe”

Often paired with “ohio” which means “bland” / " boring" / “mid”

    Example:

“Yo he got that skibidi Ohio rizz”

    Translation:

“This dude has zero game, in fact he is creepy and weird and has negative charisma, people find him repulsive and boring”

  • Yup, I usually have it set to the slowest setting when typing.

I find I work much better and can think clearer while walking, as it keeps the blood flowing and makes me feel more awake and engaged.

If I have a tough problem I’m trying to work through I turn the speed up to a faster pace and sorta just work through it in my head while speed walking, often this helps a lot!

During meetings when I’m bored I also turn the speed up a bit.

I often get around 10k to 12k steps in a day now.

Note I don’t stay on the treadmill all day long, I usually clock a good 4 hours on it though.

Then I take a break and chill on the couch with my work laptop, usually I leave my more “chill” tasks like writing my tests for this part, and throw on some Netflix while I churn all my tests out.

Highly recommend it, I’ve lost a good 15ish lbs now in the past year since I started doing it, and I just generally feel a lot better, less depressed, less anxious :)

  • From my experience the only big changes I’d say I made overtime are:

    1. Font size bumped up

    2. Switched to neovim from visual studio, which took like a year to relearn my entire workflow (100% worth it though)

    3. Switched from multiscreen setup to one single big screen (largely due to #2 above no longer needing a second screen, tmux+harpoon+telescope+fzf goes brrrr)

    4. Switched to a standing desk with a treadmill, because I became able to afford a larger living space where I can fit such a setup.

If I were to do this meme though it’d mostly be #1, there just came a day when I had to pop open my settings and ++ the font size a couple times, that’s how I knew I was getting old.

  • Building and running my own server for self hosting multiple tools for my home.

    • Bitwarden Password manager, now sharing logins/passwords for stuff my fiance and I both use is easy, and every single website we use has its own unique randomly generated password so when one site gets breached, our logins aren’t compromised anywhere else

    • Plex, it’s like your own self hosted Netflix. My file copies of any movies/TV shows go on here and it parses em all, keeps it all grouped together, streams in 4k.

    • Shinobi, for my security cameras. Self hosted free CRTV application, works with any open spec cameras. Has movement detection and tonnes of other open source options for plug-ins.

    • Deluge, handy UI for downloading torrents onto my server. Conviently added presets to it that let me download to the very folders Plex scans… cough cough.

    • Kavita, self hosted server for books/pdfs. Some e-readers can even connect to it. A couple popular manga reading apps also work with it. Can also just use its own browser web interface as an e-reader, it has multiple options for styles (infinite scroll, page swiping, left/right click, and even supports right to left mode for manga!)

    • Nextcloud, pictures/document storage. Sort of like a selfhosted filesshare/file backup. Has a mobile app that can automatically backup every picture/video you take on your phone!

    • Gogs, open source super lightweight git repo. Has only the bare minimum of features, basic web hook, authorization, permissions, simple web ui to edit. It does the job I need it to and that’s good enough.

    • OpenVPN, self hosted VPN so I can securely access all the above stuff without exposing it to the internet.

    • Also I host my own websites on it, publicly exposed. Blog, a writing project, nothing terribly fancy.

Eventually I plan to add some more stuff to it. Migrate my smart home dependencies over to Z wave and install Home Assistant, so I don’t have to rely on sending my info to google/amazon/etc to do basic smart home stuff.
