quit my job and go out to eat. real creative i know.
on top of the advice others have given, i rly like their suggestions, sounds like you’ll have a gap to fill socially. i also struggled w friendships in public school and honestly if i could tell my past self something it would be that theres always a chance to change. i locked my self image in as the person who just struggled to make friends, and that somehow stopped me trying before i even started. it wasnt until later in senior year i relaxed and started to talk to people but by then it was nearly over lol. keep an eye out for clubs or sports that pique ur interest even if you dont think you’ll be any good. you have time to get good and its the easiest way to make friends. also dont be scared to talk to people in class even if its just about the assignment or something mundane. studies show the fastest way to friendship is proximity. its something i miss now that im an adult working from home :/ social situations are inherently awkward but u will grow from trying. social skills are a skill that can be developed. while your sister is busy exploring a new world of hers, you can make a new world of your own and tell her all about it when she comes back over the holiday :)
here and there are fine, I think sometimes they have their place but I’m really not a fan. the noise bothers me and I hate that people shoot them off to celebrate the same veterans that suffer ptsd during firework shows. I hope some communities start to move to drone shows in the future. https://youtu.be/pZ-zJ0Vq0FU Much quieter and leaves way more room to switch it up year to year.
ive always like realistic characters. its what i struggle most with in modern tv. i like to see progress being made on a problem/relationship through real conversations and disagreements. i find a lot of kids shows charming for this when characters have to work to solve seemingly simple problems. i tend to get annoyed at shows that have problems caused by people doing the dumbest, pettiest things that no real person would ever actually do (in theory… some people amaze me). e.g. netflix shows that can run 4 seasons on someone having a psychotic revenge scene. like who does that??
most sandwich bread in the us is processed garbage. if you had homemade or another high quality bread then itd be different. i tried daves killer for awhile and even gave that up because it still tastes so sweet.
woww that road is huge
that must be heartbreaking for you, im so sorry. i hope you two are able to work it out.
I think hybrid work is only a small part of the issue. if it was even remotely affordable id just lunch delivery rather than busting my ass cooking in the middle of the day but then i end up spending $20 + tax + tips + fees just to eat some mid food when it just takes a bit of effort to get some amazing homecooked food for cheap. if people do return to the office id bet people would pack their lunch until prices go down.
rice cooker. i have one that i use like a fancy crockpot so i can leave the house and come home to hot food. mandolin or a food processor is a close second, makes chopping veggies a breeze
idk. luca, turning red, coco, encanto have all seemed pretty popular. Moana was huge when it was released and still now
