Every community I care about is dead
I used to be on medication for depression until I got a high-paying job. Turns out being poor was the root to most problems in my life.
More hard drive slots? No problem! Extra vibrations are good for hard drives probably.
I really think tldr
-esque snippets should be mandatory in manpages. Manpages are important documentation for when you already know how to use a program, but sometimes (always) I don’t have 30 minutes to read the entire manual to figure out how to start using a program. The ffmpeg man is practically a book! Meanwhile tldr
can give me exactly what I need to get started. If there’s no tldr
and I can’t grep something out of the man, then I’m using a search engine.
Grats on Arch Linux install, S-tier distro for what it attempts to accomplish.
It feels like there needs to be a category in between conservative and paranoid. I’m probably 90% of the way over to tech paranoid but using Tor Browser and Tails is a little much.
It’s possible. I think the biggest obstacle is that the corporations feeding on people’s data are not going to just stand by while it happens.
In theory upvotes are counted from every server. In practice, there’s been some small synchronization issues in the past where servers fail to send upvotes sometimes. It should be better now.
My legal gaming library is absolutely massive, because I’m able to test games for free first to see if I like it. IMO making people wager $70 that they’ll enjoy a game based on doctored trailers shouldn’t be legal. Same thing with music. Imagine not being able to listen to an album before buying it.
Just like real life you can also ignore the crime and say “that would take too much effort to solve”.
