  • I’ll reluctantly back you up since I feel like you’re right, and while I also have eyes over my back at times, I don’t mind those in-between images because yes, I’m not going to click the NSFW ones in front of my family but I can easily shrug a half naked anime girl or something because it’s the Internet and that exists. And besides, I can appreciate a well drawn image, lewd or otherwise.

Plus, while I’ve got a young daughter, but if any one actually goes outside, you’re going to see worse just on a billboard somewhere. Or if you’re terminally online, you’ll also see it in ads. As far as I’m concerned it’s about as hard to avoid as someone saying fuck. I’ll just have that conversation when I get there.

Sorry those who have stuck up jobs, though. The ones most likely to punish you because of an image are the ones you should most slack off during! Fuck those people, I hope we can move on to a tiered censorship system so everyone can just be happy and not fired over bullshit.

  • Huh, quite a discussion here. I’m no fan of copyright (arr!) but I feel like the pro-cooyright folks make the better points here.

It made me remember a few years back, and correct me if I’m misremembering, Fortnight was caught stealing dances from black folk on (I think) TikTok and it brought into light the idea of copywriting dances. I forget how it ended, but it was a moment I felt like copyright was reasonable.

That said, Nintendo can fuck all the way off regarding emulation, so I guess it was depends on how it’s used. Plus, a friend of mine got threats over stupidly using a copywrited image on her website (thanks Google search, ugh), but those people were just using bots to threaten small businesses into paying a fee just below the costs of a lawyer. So I’m really mixed feelings about copywrite law.

  • I mean, a sample of 8 is not really a sample, but I can see it being true for some undecided voters if those voters are savvy to know a lie when they see one (plus not everyone cares about the age narrative).

That said, how is anyone undecided at this point? I wouldn’t exactly trust them to breathe and walk at the same time, let alone vote informed.

Doom and gloom aside, we’re still a few months out so things happening now aren’t going to make a huge difference. I just wish this wasn’t all up to indecisive people in indecisive states…

  • Salon always has a bias, but I also can’t help but think he was on Sudafed or something. I also have seen him at other things and he’s generally less… raspy. Doesn’t change that it was stupid to go on like that, though.

I fortunately skipped the debate and only watched highlights, though. I already hate “debates” as far as I remember since, at best, it’s just fluffy sound bites and vague promises, and at worst, a series of unrefuted lies. This sounds like everything I hate about typical “debates” turned up to 11.
